Australia’s next lot of potential stars have been identified in a new FIFA Technical Report.
Reports of the performances of Australia’s U17 and U20 World Cup teams have been released and although both campaigns were seen as failures, it has highlighted a handful of names who have promising futures.
FIFA identified Mlada Bolelslav’s Kerem Bulut and FC Utrecht’s Tommy Oar as the best players from the U20 team with the report stating that Bulut as an ‘energetic attacker, quick off the mark with good technique’ while Oar was an ‘attacking midfielder with good shots and vision.’
In the U17 analysis, West Ham United starlet Dylan Tombides and AIS defender Connor Chapman were nominated as those who impressed FIFA.
The review read that Tombides is a ‘fast and tireless striker, shields the ball well’ while Chapman is a ‘powerful defender, good in the air, adept at launching attacks.’
