Australia boss Osieck copping too much flak says Bresciano

Mark Bresciano is of the belief that the critics need to lay off Australia head coach Holger Osieck.

As the third-placed Socceroos prepare for a trio of crucial World Cup qualifiers in June, Al-Gharafa midfielder Bresciano suggests that the German tactician has had to put up with too much negativity from the media for his sides current final round qualifying record of one win, three draws and a loss.

"We are all under pressure. It will be very disappointing if we don't qualify for this World Cup because we have all the tools, all the players, all the support to make it," Bresciano said.

"At the moment the coach doesn't need that extra pressure or have to hear about it. We should just be focusing on the next three weeks.

"Give him a break and let him concentrate."

Australia takes on group leaders Japan in Saitama on June 4 before heading back down under to meet Jordan in Melbourne on June 11 and Iraq in Sydney on June 18.
