Charlie Austin is confident that Southampton will be a Premier League club next season.

Even a few months ago, the idea of the Saints being relegated was unthinkable. However, a poor run of results has seen them drop into the bottom three.

Now it is up to the players and manager to ensure they get enough results to avoid the drop. And Austin is confident.

"My gut says we've got a good enough squad to stay in the Premier League but I'm under no illusions that in the Premier League you're given nothing," he said.

"We need to perform now."
