Aussies in action this weekend

As the European seasons begin to wrap up, a few Australians are no longer in action but with players in Asia and the USA along with Britain and Europe, there are still plenty running around the pitch this weekend.

Dean Heffernan (Huddersfield Town - English League Two) Promotion semi-finals versus Millwall at Galpharm Stadium on Saturday. The left-back has not been in the squad for the past four matches but will be hoping he can push for selection as the Terriers chase promotion to League One.

Carl Valeri (Sassuolo - Italian Serie B) 4th versus Salernitana 22nd away at Stadio Arechi on Saturday. The defensive midfielder has started the past four matches and will be striving for a win away from home to keep Sassuolo's Serie A promotion chances alive.

Luke Wilkshire (Dinamo Moscow - Russian Premier League) 10th versus Alania Vladikavkaz at Noviye Khimki on Saturday. The Australian international has started all 10 league games in Dinamo's slow start to the season.

Mile Jedinak (Antalyaspor - Turkish Super Lig) 9th versus Kayserispor 8th away at Ataturk Stadium on Saturday. Jedinak returned to the starting line-up as Antalyaspor defeated Lucas Neill and Haryy Kewell's Galatasaray 2-1 last weekend.

Mark Bresciano (Palermo - Italian Serie A) 5th versus Atalanta 18th away at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on Sunday. Last start was February 21 for the Socceroos midfielder because of a niggling back injury on which he had surgery. Palermo needs to win and hope Sampdoria lose to Napoli so they can grab a Champions League spot.

Harry Kewell (Galatasaray - Turkish Super Lig) 3rd versus Genclerbirligi 10th away at Mayis Stadium on Sunday. Is again sidelined by a troublesome groin injury that he is hoping will come good prior to next month's World Cup.

Lucas Neill (Galatasaray - Turkish Super Lig) 3rd versus Genclerbirligi 10th away at Mayis Stadium on Sunday. The Socceroos captain returned from suspension as Galatasaray lost 2-1 at home to Antalyaspor last week. Club cannot fall out of Europa League qualification.
