One-time Australian youth international Aleks Vrteski made his debut for the Macedonia Under-21 team.

Vrteski, who kept goal for Perth Glory prior to joining Pobeda Prilep in Macedonia's top flight, was called into the squad for the November 19 clash with Albania which they lost 3-0.

The former Sorrento and Stirling Lions player represented Australia at Under-17 and Under-20 levels but has been continually overlooked by national selectors since moving to Europe in mid-2007.
