Aussie Kilkenny switches Leeds for Bristol City

Championship Bristol City have signed midfielder Neil Kilkenny on a three-year deal from Yorkshire rivals Leeds.

Kilkenny's contract at Elland Road ran out this summer and he rejected a new one, amid reported interest from several other Championship clubs.

The Australia international joined Leeds in January 2008 for £150,000 from Birmingham City, where he started his career as a trainee.

The 25-year-old went on to make 144 appearances for the club.
