Aussie goalkeeper Chris Sharpe is hoping to see action for Colorado Rapids this season. Sharpe signed a new deal with the MLS Cup winners before preseason kicked off and is counting on an expanded schedule - including new MLS teams and a Champions League campaign - to present him with first team opportunities.
He told tribalfootbal.com: "I think with all the fixtures we have this year, there is a great chance of some good game time. Matt had a great season last year, was solid and consistent, but with Champions league, the reserve league coming back and the extended league fixtures, more games means more minutes.
"I will work hard as always towards the weekends and midweek fixtures and make sure I am ready."
