Former Liverpool stopper Dean Bouzanis had an impressive run-out for Oldham reserves against Tranmere's second string on Tuesday. Latics reserve-team manager Lee Duxbury declared himself pleased with the 20 year old Australian who was released from Liverpool in May.
"He did quite well," Duxbury told Press Association Sport.
"The second goal, I don`t know if it got a bit of a deflection, but balls nowadays move about.
"His kicking is fantastic - he`s like a sweeper to us - and he had a very good game."
However Duxbury remained coy on the prospect of bringing in Bouzanis on a permanent basis to the League One club.
He added: "I`m the wrong man to ask, but having two good goalkeepers at a club is not a bad thing so we`ll have to wait and see."
