Bosnar was able to gain a release from his deal at Dutch club Heracles Almelo last week and had a final medical in Japan before putting pen to paper on a deal that effectively gives JEF United the best years of his career.

Former Everton and Sturm Graz centre-half Bosnar admits he fancies facing Australian A-League clubs in future Asian competition.

He told tribalfootball.com: "It was exactly what I was after. A great club with excellent, passionate supporters in a beautiful country .

"This will be a great opportunity for me to be closer to home and the idea of playing against A-League clubs in the Asian Champions League is something to look forward to too!"
