Aussie coach Joe Montemurro is taking charge of Arsenal Women.

Montemurro has been announced as the new manager of Arsenal Women following the departure of Pedro Martinez Losa.

The Australian coach joins the Gunners from Melbourne City FC, who he led to an unbeaten championship winning both 2015-16 and 16-17 seasons.

Following his appointment, Montemurro told Arsenal's website: "I feel honoured and humbled to join Arsenal.

"I'm excited by the challenge and I am really looking forward to working with the talented staff and players at this great club."
