Augenthaler convinced Arsenal target Draxler 'wants England move'

German legend Klaus Augenthaler knows Wolfsburg striker Julian Draxler wants to go to England.

The 23-year-old has been a long-term target for Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger thought to be a fan, says the Daily Express.

The player's agent admitted last month a £59m offer came in for his client during the last window.

Reports last week suggested Juventus would rival the Gunners for his signature.

Former Wolfsburg head coach Augenthaler reckons Draxler has been affected by talk of a transfer to the Premier League.

“He said he wants to go. Maybe to England, where there is much more money," Augenthaler said.

"He is a young player. I don't know why he says he wants to go.

“Maybe it's an idea for young players.

"I saw Draxler three to four years ago. He was a big talent with much skill. Now at Wolfsburg, maybe it's not his team."
