Aubey happy with Diarra reunion at Portsmouth

Lucien Aubey is convinced he can make a big impact at Portsmouth.

The France U21 fullback is on-loan from Lens and told The News: "I can play with players like Jermain Defoe, Sol Campbell. It's very important for a young boy because I hope to play in the French team.

"It's very, very lucky for me to play with people like these. I know many of them already and it helps me a lot. Lassana Diarra, Arnold Mvuemba, Sylvain Distin, John Utaka, Papa Bouba Diop are here so it's more easy for me, they can explain to me so I understand.

"Having Lassana here is also good because I played in the under-21 team with him. When he comes into the left midfield it's easy for me and him. I give him the ball, it's easy.

"He's a good player, a very, very big player. All the players here are very, very good and I can learn. I am very good here, the chairman is a very good man, there is a big, big coach and I want to learn with this coach.

"He will give me my chance, I must play and give it all."
