Premier League managers were put off former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha last season.

Zaha signed permanently for Crystal Palace yesterday.

One Premier League manager told the Daily Mail he considered Zaha 12 months ago: "Yeah I was looking at it.

"But I know one of the backroom staff at United and they have told me not to go near him.

"They say he is good enough but he isn't doing things right."
