Atletico Madrid have sounded out city rivals Real Madrid about the availability of Argentine pair Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Gago. Atletico chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin opened talks with Real president Florentino Perez about the duo two weeks ago, says Marca.
Gago is viewed by Atletico as a priority signing, while striker Higuain would come into the equation if either Sergio Aguero or Diego Forlan were to be sold before the summer market shuts this month.
