Atletico Madrid defender Luis Perea admits Sergio Aguero was upset with his dismissal during last night's 1-0 UEFA Cup defeat at Bolton Wanderers.

Aguero was sent-off for spitting at Bolton midfielder Matty Taylor and Perea revealed the Argie acknowledged that he had let his Atletico teammates down: "Aguero is very upset because he knows what he can do on the field.

"He knows that he was wrong and for that reason he is sad. But we did not lose the game because of his dismissal."

The Spanish press accepted that Bolton deserved the win last night and Perea admitted: "Christian Abbiati is a great and very versatile goalkeeper. He was brilliant."
