Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan says there's a simple reason for his lack of goals at Manchester United.

Forlan scored 10 league goals in 63 appearances and took 27 games to get the first of them.

"It's a simple answer," he replied. "I didn't play enough." Most of those outings, he would point out, were as a late substitute. "I had too little time to show what I could do. But the fans were always good to me and I appreciated that."
