Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero left the pitch in tears during last night's 1-1 draw with Real Murcia.

Aguero suffered an ankle injury in a clash with his Murcia marker, but Atletico medical chiefs say the injury isn't serious.

Atletico coach Javier Aguirre reported: "Something happened away from the ball, where Aguero has made a move to get away from his opponent. At that moment, the Murcia player made contact with his right ankle.

"It was an unfortunate incident."
