Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann says coach Diego Simeone has transformed his game.

Griezmann has emerged as one of the brightest midfield talents in Europe over the past year.

He told RMC Sports: “Simeone changed me completely, the rigour, the intensity, the work they ask for … Now I'm an important player in the team. No-one can relax with him around.

“When the boss told the press that I'm such an important player, it made me want to stay even more. I wasn't looking for another team or anything, but now I think about it even less."
