Atletico Madrid veteran Forlan confident completing Inter Milan move

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan is delighted to be moving to Inter Milan.

Forlan has confirmed he is leaving Atletico Madrid to replace Samuel Eto'o at Inter.

"I have already spoken to Inter's Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito, who are my friends," the striker said.

"I'm expecting a great challenge ahead because I am joining another big club in the shape of Inter."

After playing in England with Manchester United and in Spain with Atletico, as well as Villarreal, the South American is now looking forward to life in Italy.

"I know about Serie A from the games I've seen on television, but I'm happy to have the chance after featuring in the Liga and the Premiership.

"I like the sound of the Inter project and I appreciated their real desire to sign me," continued the centre-forward.

"I'm hungry for the challenge ahead, I'm feeling good physically and a change is sometimes good for motivation.

"You don't always get the possibility of joining a top club at the age of 32. For this, I want to thank Inter President Massimo Moratti for the opportunity."
