Jonny Castro is on the brink of moving for Atletico Madrid.

The Celta Vigo fullback Jonny has agreed a deal with Atletico.

Marca says Atletico will welcome Jonny to the club on Sunday.

It hasn't been ruled out that the 24-year-old will head out on loan for the 2018/19 campaign, potentially to the English Premier League in a move the player would welcome due to his desire to experience life in a new country.

With Celta, Jonny enjoyed six seasons worth of first team football in LaLiga along with Under-21 action for the Spanish national team, but left-backs Lucas Hernandez and Filipe Luis are both established in Madrid and he may find immediate game time hard to come by.
