Atletico Madrid chief Miguel Angel Gil is in Mexico to secure San Luis Potosi as a partner.

Marca says Gil has travelled to Mexico to pen a deal for the Rojiblanco's latest franchise or sister club, San Luis Potosi.

Several meetings are scheduled to set in motion the project with the second division club.

The Colchoneros' goal in Mexico is to copy the model that they have seen providing positive results in India with Atletico Kolkata (an Indian football team whom they have partnered with), who won the 2016 Indian Super League trophy.
