Atletico Madrid have offered Joao Miranda to Chelsea for Andre Schurrle. The Daily Express says the Blues bid £20million for Miranda last week as Jose Mourinho stepped up his search for defensive reinforcements.
Atletico responded by telling Chelsea they would have to part with Schurrle in exchange to land the 29-year-old.
Miranda has since insisted he wants to stay with the La Liga champions, with Mourinho turning his attention to Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
But Atletico remain keen on signing Schurrle and are ready to make a £25m bid for the German international.
