Atletico Madrid have swooped for Celta Vigo midfielder Augusto Fernández.

AS says he has completed his move to Atlético pending official confirmation from the club.

Celta have accepted Atlético's 6.5 million euro offer and both clubs are expected to officially announce the signing within the next few hours.

The midfielder has been brought in to cover for injury-hit Tiago, and will sign a contract binding him to the club until June 2019.
