Atletico Madrid are struggling to reach agreement for Villarreal defender Diego Godin.

AS says Villarreal have accepted a bid of around €8 million from Atletico for their 50 per cent of Godin's registration. However, the stumbling block is super agent Paco Casal, who owns 30 per cent of the defender's transfer rights.

After several days of negotiations, Atletico are still to find agreement with Casal.

If an agreement cannot be found, Atletico will turn to Universidad de Chile defender Mauricio Victorino, who is available for around €3 million.
