Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres was delighted with victory over Leganes.

He had only scored three goals so far this season before the Leganes outing, but added a couple more to his tally and is excited for the next few months of the 2016/17 campaign.

"I am very happy ahead of the last stretch of the season, which is the best part," the striker said after the full-time whistle.

"As I've said, I play every match as if it was my last and I try to enjoy every minute."

"We need to enjoy today's match and then forget about it quickly," the player said. "Tuesday's match will be very difficult, but that is what we like.

"We feel the emotion of the fans who were supporting us."
