Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres says he values his time with AC Milan.
Torres had a short spell on-loan with Milan during the 2014/15 season.
“At Milan, I only played 10 games and didn't have time to understand thoroughly what Italian football was like, but there were things that struck me," he told TuttoNapoli.
“I was struck by the fact that at Cesena, the grass was completely artificial. I'd never played on such a field at this level, whereas it felt like going back a few decades at some stadia.
“It's a pity because you then go to the Olimpico and, although it's not a brand-new facility, there's a unique atmosphere. Stadia like these should be modernised.
“Milan clubs? Their absences in European competitions was a problem, but fortunately Juventus got to two Finals, ensuring the presence of Italian football at great levels.
“More balanced Italian League? It's good and it poses a great opportunity, but we mustn't return to the absolute domination of Juventus, Inter and Milan.
“Having many teams capable of winning the Scudetto makes Serie A much more exciting."
