Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan admits a move away in January would have been difficult for him.
Tottenham tried to sign the former Manchester United forward last month.
Forlan revealed: "I had to be careful. I cannot change teams, then change again. I cannot leave for six months.
"Changing clubs in January are always difficult."
