Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has defended his documentary released last week where he confirmed he would be staying.

Making the call so soon before a World Cup was not an issue for the France camp, according to Griezmann, who feels as though he opened the door to his personal decision making process with the film.

"I received a lot of love and a lot of encouragement," he told Telefoot. "Love and my heart made me stay.

"I wanted to show people how we make our decisions. Some have enjoyed it and others have not.

"I don't think it bothered the [national] team or the coach."
