New Atletico Madrid signing Luis Garcia has no regrets over his time with Liverpool.

The Spain international's sale surprised many of his former Liverpool teammates and the midfielder said: "In England I have been able to enjoy great things. I am very happy with what I achieved in English soccer, where everything was very positive. I learned a lot next to great players. Now I will be able to contribute things here."

Asked if he had offered any advice to Fernando Torres, Garcia added: "No, because he knows what he must do. In addition, he will have good teammates there that will tell him what to do and what not to do.

"I wish him the best. He made an important decision in his life and it is important to respect it. Torres is a great player and has the quality to play in the best teams in Europe."
