Atletico Madrid are planning a bid for Real Valladolid goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.

Asenjo's agent, Fernando Redondo, is already locked in talks with Barcelona, but Atletico are also keen on the 19 year-old.

Atletico are seeking an end-of-season deal for Asenjo, whose buyout clause is set at £4 million, and believe they have an advantage over Barca as they're prepared to make the youngster their new No1.
