Atletico Madrid are eyeing Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente.

Atletico chief Andrea Berta has identified Llorente as an ideal signing for coach Diego Simeone's midfield.

AS says Llorente was mentioned in talks over Theo Hernandez's move to Real earlier this summer.

Atletico cannot sign the youngster until January, but know they need to find a verbal agreement with Real now given rival enquiries arriving from the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona.

However, in their favour is Simeone, who is admired by Llorente and a coach the midfielder would be happy to play for.
