Atletico Madrid have struck a loan deal with Wolfsburg for midfielder Diego.

The paperwork will be rubberstamped today, with Diego signing for Atletico on-loan for the season for a fee of less than €5 million.

Diego's camp had struck personal terms with Atletico some weeks ago, but Wolfsburg were holding off on the sale in the hope of rivals coming in for the midfielder.

But with little interest, Wolfsburg were forced to accept Atletico's terms over a loan deal.
