Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is furious that striker Sergio Aguero was called away with Argentina last week for their friendly in Australia - only to play for less than 60 seconds.

"It seems to me absolutely ridiculous that a player must travel to the other side of the world for a friendly game," said Cerezo, "especially when it is the club that pays his wages.

"If it was an official Copa America game you could understand it, but for a friendly it is not good enough.

"The only good thing was that he hardly played, so there was no risk of injury."
