Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed he hopes to sign Juventus defender Cristian Molinaro in the next 48 hours.

After victory over Sevilla on Saturday, Atletico will now focus on agreeing terms with Molinaro about a loan move from Turin.

"We want to close it either Monday or Tuesday," said Cerezo. "This is a loan with an option to buy in June after we have evaluated his performance."

Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores is desperate to find a quality left-back for the second-half of this season.
