Atletico Madrid's players met for two hours yesterday to discuss their disappointing start to the season.

Atletico have taken just two points from the opening three rounds and after their poor draw to Real Murcia, the players met with coach Javier Aguirre to thrash out their concerns in a meeting that lasted almost two hours.

There is a feeling inside the club that the players have taken their foot off the gas after qualifying for the UEFA Cup last season and a carefree attitude has crept into their play.
