Atletico Madrid hope to set up a swap deal for the permanent signing of on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The People says the Blues have quashed the La Liga club's hopes of taking Courtois, 21, on loan for a fourth successive campaign after next summer's World Cup finals.
But that has prompted the Spaniards to see if they can strike a permanent deal for the hugely talented youngster by using £20million-rated Costa as bait.
