Atletico Madrid are opening new contract talks with goalkeeper David De Gea.

Atletico are aware the youngster's form last season has attracted interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona.

De Gea's current deal runs to 2013 and carries a buyout clause of €20 million.

Atletico met with the player's agents yesterday to discuss an improved deal which would include hiking up De Gea's buyout clause to keep him out of reach of bigger European rivals.
