Atletico Madrid have named Quique Sanchez Flores as new coach following yesterday's dismissal of Abel Resino.
The former Benfica and Valencia boss has signed a deal to the end of the season with Atletico.
"Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Quique Flores to become the new Rojiblanco coach until the end of this season," read a statement on club website clubatleticodemadrid.com.
"The coach will be officially unveiled next Monday, 26 October, at 1030 hours in the VIP Lounge at the Vicente Calderon."
Flores, 44, spent last season in charge of Benfica after being dismissed by Valencia in October 2007. He guided the Lisbon outfit to a third-place finish in the Portuguese Liga.
