Atletico Madrid are set to offload one of Brazilian pair Cleber Santana and Fabio Eller.

Atletico's imminent capture of Villarreal's Argentine ace Juan Roman Riquelme means they must cut loose one of their non-EU players. Sergio Aguero is regarded as untouchable at Atletico, which leads to either Cleber or Eller being sold before the market shuts on Friday night.

The decision is expected to be made over Atletico's next signing as talks continue with Barcelona for Thiago Motta and Rafael Marquez. Atletico coach Javier Aguirre favours Marquez, which would see fellow defender Eller moved on.
