Atletico Madrid have joined the battle for Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Rossi has been in advanced talks with Juventus about a return to Italy.

However, As says Atletico Madrid have burst on to the scene with their own offer for Rossi.

Atletico see Italy international Rossi as the ideal replacement for Sergio Aguero, who is heading to Manchester City.

Curiously, Aguero was Juve's first choice before his price-tag sent them towards Rossi instead.
