Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo praised Antoine Griezmann after their Champions League win at AS Monaco.

Griezmann went into the game with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos having effectively branded him deluded over his Ballon d'Or claims.

Rodrigo said in the mixed zone tonight: "Nothing affected him, today he has made a spectacular goal creating pass, the player has to speak on the field and everyone has his opinion.

"We are not going to criticise Ramos because of what he thinks.

"Antoine is very important for us, a world-class player, Ramos's words are not excessive, we believe that Griezmann is among the top 3 in the world and he is showing it, he is the most destabilising in the team and he has to help us a lot."
