Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke admits he was tempted by Barcelona earlier this summer.
Barca made an attempt for Koke before the World Cup.
"The truth is that a part of me said it was hard to say 'no' to Barcelona, but I wanted to continue at home, during the best time in my many years being with Atletico Madrid.
"It was not time to leave, this is my home, where I feel wanted and the club decided to go for me.
"In addition, the club did not need to sell."
