Spanish club Atletico Madrid have confirmed a summer friendly with Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes.
Los Rojiblancos will take on the Quakes at Candlestick Park on July 27 in what will be the MLS clubs biggest exhibition match since returning to MLS in 2008.
Earthquakes president Dave Kaval suggested that the match will be a fantastic occasion for his club at the former home of NFL's San Francisco 49ers.
"This is a great opportunity for Bay Area soccer fans to watch their local team take on one of the premier clubs in the world," Kaval said in a statement.
"Hosting a UEFA Champions League semi-finalist is a special experience. Earthquakes fans have some great games to look forward to this summer and this match adds to the list."
Atleti currently sit at the top of the Spanish La Liga table with three games remaining and are in the semi-final of the Champions League where they face Chelsea in the second leg on Wednesday following last week's 0-0 draw in Madrid.
They have won the Spanish championship on nine occasions, the Copa del Rey 10 times and two Europa League titles in their history.
