Former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is in talks with Atletico Madrid.

Marca says Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has touched base with Spalletti about succeeding Abel Resino as coach.

Cerezo turned to the Italian after being turned down by Michael Laudrup. Also in the frame is former Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini, who last week rejected an approach from Notts County.
