Atletico Madrid have made contact with Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros.

Atletico are in the market for a new coach as they plan to replace Quique Sanchez Flores at the end of this season.

Caparros is also interesting Sevilla, while he has told Bilbao officials he would be happy to stay.

Caparros needs to feel comfortable where he is coaching - more so than what he earns - and it will take a lot to convince him to leave Bilbao.
