Atletico Madrid have lost Augusto Fernández for two months.

A series of scans on Augusto have confirmed that the midfielder has partially torn the interior ligament in his left knee and is expected to be sidelined for about eight weeks.

"Now it's time to focus on getting better. Injuries are ugly but they're part of the game.

"It's never nice to get injured but when you think that it's something serious and they tell you that it's less serious it cheers you up. I'm going to focus all of my energy on getting fit as quickly as possible," said the midfielder.
