Atletico Madrid keeper Courtois wants to delay Chelsea return

Atletico Madrid loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is in no rush to return to parent club Chelsea.

The 19-year-old seems to be in no rush to feature for the Blues claiming he will need time away from Stamford Bridge to adapt to English football.

"I think I will have to play for another English team for a year or two before I join Chelsea," Courtois told The People.

"I need to learn about the style of play in England. Once I've done that I will see if I am ready to turn out for Chelsea.

"I'm quite happy with my performances for Atletico. But given Petr Cech is one of the best keepers in the world, I think I will have to stay put.

"I have time on my side, I'll carry on working and Chelsea are continuing to follow my progress."
