Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has admitted his admiration for Fiorentina midfielder Adem Ljajic.

The young Serb is expected to leave Fiorentina in the coming weeks and has been linked with AC Milan.

However, Atletico could also step in, with Simeone telling Punto Pelota: "He's a major player. A very good player.

"Nothing can be ruled in or out until the deadline falls."
