AC Milan have emerged as a loan option for Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Costa is expected to join Atletico Madrid this summer, though will be barred from appearing for them until January 1 due to their ban from working the current transfer window.
Finding a partner willing to take Costa on-loan for six months is now the priority for Atletico and La Repubblica says Milan are in the mix.
Milan, which are battling to find a new centre-forward signing, would see Costa as a stop-gap for their long-term plans.
Atletico have already struck a similar arrangement with Las Palmas, which have taken former Sevilla midfielder Vitolo on-loan.
