Atletico Madrid hours away from closing Salvio agreement

Atletico Madrid could close the deal for Lanus star Eduardo Salvio some time today.

AS says Atletico are ready to meet Lanus' €8 million asking price after agreeing to sell Florent Sinama-Pongolle to Sporting Lisbon for €7 million.

The capture of Salvio will represent a personal triumph for Atletico sports director Jesus Garcia Pitarch, who has been chasing the 19 year-old since June.

Porto are also in the frame, which is why Atletico are anxious about closing an agreement with Lanus as quickly as possible.
